Zambia's BongoHive has announced that they have accepted seven startups into their Launch Accelerator programme. this June. This is the fifth cohort of the programme and it sees startups that come from various industries such as agriculture, real estate, food, e-commerce, home improvement, gift fulfilment, and gaming.
Earlier in April 2017 the fourth cohort of the BongoHive's Launch Accelerator had six startups graduating on a demo night held on 11 April 2017.
“I applied to get into Launch Accelerator) after a while of following its activities online. As a company, we want to learn what it takes to expand our business to other towns and countries. Define exactly the roles of team members, but our financial records in order, receive mentorship on the unknown strode steps ahead of us. Make sure the company is on its clear path to a sustainable cash flow company and
understand the mind of investors and what they need.
As founders, it’s a great time to network with other great mind and clearly understand the value proposition of our company and how to articulate it effectively," said Gilbert Mwale, co-founder of E-msika Services.
The programme takes startups through a customized series of interventions with BongoHive's Startup Incubation Lead. They also get paired to an industry mentor, have access to legal advice and get to work regularly work with BongoHive's in-house Accounting and Finance Lead.
