Internet Solutions has deployed their first ever Point of Presence (PoP) in Madagascar. The company with a head office in South Africa has also announced that they have commissioned another Pop in Zambia.
To date, Internet Solutions has 68 PoPs in across Afrika.
“We can boast a significant managed services network on the continent because of our investment in both infrastructure assets and partnerships with trusted, in-country service providers,” said Murray Steyn, Executive Head for Wholesale at Internet Solutions.
The PoP in Madagascar will be Co-located with Airtel Madagascar whilst the one in Zabia will be co-located with NetOne, The PoPs provide benefits of network redundancy and a streamlined provision of services.
“Deploying PoPs in Madagascar and Zambia is in direct response to business prospects anticipated by our existing clients, particularly in the retail and telecoms industries, and our own expectations of economic development in these countries,” added Steyn.
