Now defunct, KasiMP3 at its peak gave birth to many South African music careers and was at its peak the home of Kasi Rap (Kasi is South African slang for township). Despite being an online music platform that helped independent music artists distribute their music and build a fanbase, it was shut down, twice in its lifetime. This free eBook tells the tale of how Mokgethwa Mapaya started KasiMP3 until its first shutdown leading up to the re-launch in 2013.
